Itinerary

Pick-up in Banyuwangi

Drive to Paltuding, the trailhead of the Ijen crater hike.

Start the trek

A moderate 3 km hike with your guide and a headlamp.

Blue fire

Watch burning sulphur gas glow blue from the crater rim.

Sunrise over the acid lake

Amber light on the turquoise water, the best photo spot of the morning.

Descend & breakfast

Back to Paltuding for a local breakfast, then return to your hotel.
